Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia is anticipated to become a global tech leader, triggered by its rapidly booming market and tech innovation that promise significant success, Bill McDermott, CEO of ServiceNow, stated.
The Kingdom has to take strong steps to boost the digital sector and tackle existing challenges, McDermott said in an interview with Asharq Al Awsat newspaper.
During LEAP 2024, the US-based software company announced investing $500 million in Saudi Arabia in addition to launching data centers in the Kingdom.
McDermott affirmed that the decision to invest in the Kingdom was backed by the rapid digital growth and the Kingdom’s positive impact on global tech.
He elaborated that ServiceNow is establishing a new regional headquarters in Riyadh as part of its strategy to support the Kingdom’s growth by training Saudi youth on its platform, hiring graduates, and opening job opportunities
ServiceNow also aspires to contribute to realizing the Kingdom’s goal to become a global leader by prioritizing youth training, business innovation, and artificial intelligence (AI) development to improve services and user experiences.
Moreover, McDermott hailed the enthusiasm of 230,000 young Saudis at LEAP 2024 who were dedicated to advancing the Kingdom’s digital economy.
