Dubai - Sharikat Mubasher: Standard Chartered, a global cross-border bank, launched the latest cohort of the Women in Tech accelerator in the UAE, in collaboration with Companies Creating Change (C3), a recent statement revealed.
The initiative targets supporting sustainable growth, empowering women entrepreneurs within the UAE's technology sector, and fostering innovation, diversity, financial empowerment, and economic development.
The accelerator aims to assist female founders by providing a distinct platform to unlock their potential, overcome obstacles, and speed up their business ventures.
Medea Nocentini, Founder of C3, stated that the company will harness its extensive experience in the impact entrepreneurship sector to empower women founders and facilitate their business journey.
“Through our expansive network of trainers, experts, and investors, we aim to provide unparalleled access to knowledge, networks, and capital for women-led startups, ensuring their sustainable growth and lasting impact in the technology sector," Nocentini added.
Meanwhile, Rola Abu Manneh, Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered in the UAE, Middle East, and Pakistan, said: “Through this dynamic initiative, which offers targeted support, mentorship, and access to seed capital, we aim to empower women, enabling them to overcome barriers, seize opportunities and drive transformative change.”
Abu Manneh affirmed that the Women in Tech program underscores Standard Chartered’s shared commitment with the UAE to support women's empowerment and foster technological innovation.
