Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF) opened registrations for the third edition of the Industrial Hackathon with the slogan “Your creativity has an impact.”
The registration phase will end on 25 September with a prize pool of more than SAR 1.4 million to be distributed to winners and participants at the closing ceremony on 12 October.
The Industrial Hackathon 2024 addresses challenges facing Saudi manufacturers through three tracks: design, production, and sustainability, providing the opportunity for creative Saudi citizens and residents to present innovative solutions to tackle these challenges.
During the boot camp, which will be held on 10 and 11 October, participants will engage with challenges presented by nine prominent companies: Lucid Motors, ALAT, Arriyadh Roaster, Alayed Hoses Factory, Al Safi Danone, National Gas and Industrialization Company (GASCO), Kinza, Pure Polymers, and Nami.
The hackathon targets discovering innovative solutions that contribute to advancing industrial development in the Kingdom.
The key objectives of the Industrial Hackathon include enhancing the attractiveness of Saudi products in local and global markets through creative marketing solutions, improving the skills of Saudi youth in design, development, and production fields, and offering sustainable solutions aimed at improving environmental and economic efficiency in the Kingdom.
Moreover, the Industrial Hackathon underscores the SIDF’s commitment to supporting Saudi manufacturers and driving innovation and creativity.
