Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Suliman Almazroua, CEO of the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP) said that the program managed to achieve SAR 524 billion in investments, a figure that is expected to up to SAR 600 billion by the end of this year.
The CEO made those statements in an interview with Asharq Business on the sidelines of the Global Logistics Forum (GLF24), which took place in Riyadh from the 12th to the 14th of September.
Almazroua also referred to the cooperation agreement that NIDLP signed with Newlab Company to launch the Logistics Innovation Studio on the first day of the Forum.
The studio aims to find out innovative solutions to address strategic challenges in the logistics sector.
Through advanced technology, the studio will encourage innovation and boost efficiency and environmental sustainability.
The agreement includes various prestigious entities, as follows:
The Ministry of Transport and Logistics, Newlab Company, The General Transport Authority, The Research, Development and Innovation Authority, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), The General Ports Authority, NIDLP Program, and The Ports Development Company (King Abdullah Port)
The new studio will facilitate cooperation between innovators from all over the world and the transportation and logistics system in the Kingdom.
Thus, it represents a significant milestone in fostering the entrepreneurship sector and enabling entrepreneurs and innovators to market their solutions locally and globally.
