Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Munir Eldesouki, President of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) said that The Garage incubator is home to 30 companies, with 50% of them being global.
He made his remarks during the third edition of the Future of the Non-Profit Sector Forum, which kicked off at the Fairmont Riyadh on the 20th of October, according to Al Eqtisadiah.
The President added that The Garage managed to launch 230 startups, create more than 850 job opportunities, and make more than SAR 67 million in profits by the end of 2023.
The Garage, a business incubator developed by (KACST), provides everything that technology companies need for success and growth, including networking access, office space in Riyadh, and startup acceleration.
Under the theme "Transformation Towards Future Technologies”, the Future of the Non-Profit Sector Forum aims to discuss the applications of future technologies to serve charitable and community goals and examine the non-profit sector's ability to confront the economic and social changes that this transformation may cause.
It will also explore the intersections of non-profit work with the digital economy to achieve a balance between economic growth and social prosperity.
The event will include four-panel discussions featuring decision-makers and practitioners from the non-profit sector, along with partners from the public and private sectors. Additionally, an accompanying exhibition with 23 exhibitors will showcase digital transformation stories in the industry, along with supporting entities and services.
