Riyadh – Exclusive Sharikat Mubasher: In an interview with Sharikat Mubasher, Bassem Awada, General Manager MENA & Vice President Global at TerraPay expressed his pride that TerraPay is participating for the 4th time in a row in Seamless Saudi Arabia 2024, a landmark event in the realm of digital commerce, fintech, and retail.
Awada identified TerraPay as an e-system that creates a connection with SAMA-certified financial institutions and secures its digital payments by different means including digital wallets, and credit and debit cards within 155 countries all over the world through an integration with TerraPay.
He added that the company complies with several money transfer licenses and permits from multiple central banks worldwide amounting to 31 permits so far.
Awada added that the company is privileged with over 55 direct partnerships with digital wallet companies that enabled TerraPay to launch 3.7 billion wallets worldwide.
The official thinks that the future of digital payments will be for entities who are able to introduce advanced banking services outside physical banks.
Awada explains that TerraPay is a modern system that introduces the new concept of “Aggregator” in the region, and this is considered a key challenge for the company to convince businesses to adopt it.
