Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: For the second time in a row, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) participates in the Barcelona Smart City Expo World Congress in Spain, which is held from 4 to 7 November, aiming to highlight the Kingdom’s position in adopting Artificial Intelligence (AI) techs, especially in shaping the future of life in smart cities.
SDAIA partakes in this year’s edition as a global partner for the congress and an official representer of Saudi Arabia in such global events related to data and AI, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Held in Barcelona since 2011, the Smart City Expo World Congress is the world’s biggest and most influential event for cities and urban innovation.
Every year, the event gathers leaders from global companies, governments, and organizations to move cities towards a better future, with more than 600 expert speakers, sharing experiences of over 850 cities from 130 states. The event is expected to attract 25,000 visitors, in addition to more than 1,100 exhibitors.
SDAIA's participation includes two tracks: the first involves the main sessions of the congress, presenting Saudi Arabia's experience in digital transformation and building smart cities, as well as SDAIA's efforts in this regard, with the CEO of the Smart City Excellence Center at SDAIA, Sattam Al Subaie as a speaker in one of the sessions. The second includes a pavilion at the congress that will serve as an extensive exhibition, showcasing the authority's digital products related to data and artificial intelligence.
