Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Snapchat Inc. inaugurated an office and a content creators' council in Riyadh city, in the presence of Abdullah Alswaha, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, and Khalid Al-Falih, Minister of Investment.
This reflects the importance of the Saudi market in supporting the company’s strategy within the coming years, according to Aleqtisadiah.
During the event, Alswaha highlighted Snapchat’s significant role in driving remarkable advancements in science and technology.
The minister also stressed the importance of the platform’s presence in Riyadh, noting the 25 million active users in Saudi Arabia and expressing optimism about further increasing this number through collaboration.
For his part, Al-Falih asserted that the Snapchat Riyadh office will be one of the most viral and innovative centers worldwide, supported by enthusiastic youths upholding Vision 2030 and the great momentum taking place in the Kingdom.
According to Abdulla Alhammadi, Managing Director - KSA at Snap Inc., advertising rates on the platform soared by 300% in 3 years, which created the urge to expand in the Saudi Market. He added that this surge is driven by the economic growth taking place in the Kingdom, either in private or public sectors.
