Matbouly: KAEC pens major deals at Supply Chain Conference

KAEC participates in the Supply Chain and Logistics Conference 2024 as a strategic partner to showcase its capabilities

Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) signed two agreements with the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDPL) and another major private entity during the 6th Supply Chain and Logistics Conference, Majid Matbouly, Head of Industrial Valley at KAEC, announced.

As a strategic partner of the event, KAEC aimes to showcase its capabilities and strengthen its network by forming more strategic partnerships, Matbouly stated in an interview with Alarabiya.

He emphasized that the Supply Chain and Logistics Conference 2024 plays a critical role in addressing challenges facing the sector and unlocking opportunities for future investments.

Matbouly highlighted that the Industrial Valley, spanning 60 million square meters, is pivotal in creating sustainable opportunities and attracting foreign direct investments, aligning with the goals of Vision 2030.

He further clarified that KAEC caters to various sectors including logistics, pharmaceuticals, food and beverages, building materials, technology, and automotive industries.

Since its inception, KAEC has forged strategic partnerships with leading local and global companies such as Lucid, Ceer, TASARU Mobility Investments, and Hyundai. These collaborations contribute to KAEC’s broader goal of establishing a comprehensive supply chain ecosystem that attracts investments and creates job opportunities for Saudis, Matbouly added.

The Supply Chain and Logistics Conference 2024 takes place in Riyadh on 15 and 16 December, with the participation of over 100 exhibitors and more than 10 startups from over 10 countries. It serves as a dynamic platform that provides access to decision-makers in government agencies and commercial establishments and identifies investment initiatives and opportunities.

It gathers supply chain decision-makers to discuss the goals to be achieved and strengthen the Saudi economy, consolidating the Kingdom’s position as a global logistics hub linking the three continents.

This aligns with Rawajeh Group’s approach towards investing in entities capable of achieving balanced and sustainable growth.Aqeel Alrajhi, CEO of Rawajeh Group, stated that the investment reflects the group’s confidence in Khwarizmi Holding’s robust business model and its ability to manage specialized investments in private markets efficiently.For his part, Ibrahim Almojel, Founding Partner at Khwarizmi Holding, affirmed that the partnership will help the company accelerate the execution of its investment strategy that focuses on building specialized platforms in private markets and developing diverse investment products that meet the expectations of institutional investors.Moreover, this collaboration reflects the shared vision of both entities to build an investment ecosystem that is based on integration and added value.
