Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi-Japanese Joint Business Council convened in Riyadh, attended by Saudi Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih and Japan’s Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry Muto Yoji.
Over 80 representatives from businesses and institutions participated, emphasizing the commitment to deepening economic cooperation outlined in the Saudi-Japan Vision 2030, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Discussions centered on expanding investment partnerships across sectors such as renewable energy, automotive, biotechnology, AI, healthcare, and electronic gaming.
Minister Al-Falih praised Japanese innovation and encouraged collaboration with Saudi businesses. He also showcased the Kingdom's investment incentives.
Minister Yoji underscored the importance of private sector participation in fostering trade and technological innovation. Waleed Alorainan, the Secretary General of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, highlighted the shared vision as a pillar of the nations’ strategic partnership.
Tariq Al-Qahtani, Chairman of the Joint Business Council, urged Japanese companies to leverage Saudi Arabia’s strategic incentives and align with its growth in advanced industries, boosting the $41 billion trade exchange between the two nations.
