Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Industry and Minerals Resources Bandar Alkhorayef launched the Mining Innovation Studio during the Future Mineral Forum 2025 (FMF 2025).

In his opening remarks, Alkhorayef stated that the new studio was designed to attract global talent and accelerate cutting-edge technology, in alignment with Riyadh’s vision to become the “Silicon Valley of mining”.

He clarified that the Kingdom is promoting upcoming exploration opportunities across 5,000 square kilometers of mineralized belts in 2025 as it continues its steadfast growth in the mining sector.

Alkhorayef further noted that the Saudi mining sector is the fastest growing globally, with a mineral potential estimated at $2.5 trillion.

He elaborated that the allocation of new exploration sites to tap mineral wealth is part of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to establish mining as the third pillar of the Kingdom’s industrial economy.

The FMF 2025, the world’s premier minerals gathering, takes place in Riyadh from 14 to 16 January under the theme ‘Year of Impact’, featuring 250 influential speakers, including CEOs of the top 11 global mining companies and other industry leaders.

It aims to enable the development of resilient and responsible minerals and metals industries in Africa, West and Central Asia, and other host countries by attracting investment, deploying digital and other advanced technologies, and applying high standards for sustainability performance.
