Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Simplex, a rising startup in the field of computer numerical control (CNC) machine manufacturing, secured $13 million to build a huge CNC factory in Saudi Arabia, aligning with the Kingdom’s efforts to support and localize advanced industries.

The new factory will be built on a space of 20,000 square meters in Riyadh and will be dedicated to producing advanced CNC machines, the company announced in a statement today.

Simplex signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the National Industrial Development Centre to establish its first factory within the Kingdom. The signing ceremony was attended by Ahmed Shaaban, Chairman of Simplex CNC, and Khalil Salamah, Vice Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, along with several key officials from both sides.

Commenting on this milestone, Shaaban said: "We are grateful for the significant support provided by the Saudi National Industrial Development Center, which reflects the Kingdom's commitment to enhancing the industrial sector and localizing advanced technology. This factory represents a major step towards realizing our vision of expanding in regional and global markets and increasing our exports of CNC machines."

He affirmed that the project reflects Simplex’s commitment to contributing to the development of the Saudi industrial sector, in line with Vision 2030.

For his part, Mohamed Mansour, Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer at Simplex, stated that the new factory will enable the company to meet the growing demand for CNC machines and enhance its presence in international markets.

Through this project, Simplex contributes to strengthening Saudi Arabia's industrial capabilities, creating new job opportunities, and supporting non-oil exports.
