LEAP 2025 commences today with participation from 18 countries

LEAP 2025 takes place in Riyadh from 9 to 12 February with the participation of over 1,800 exhibitors and more than 1,000 speakers

Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The fourth edition of the award-winning global technology event, LEAP, kicks off today in Riyadh with the participation of over 1,800 exhibitors, more than 1,000 speakers, and over 680 startups with awards exceeding $1 million.

Under the theme ‘Into New Worlds,’ LEAP 2025 aims to showcase the latest innovations and facilitate knowledge exchange, expanding business networking and investment opportunities in the tech sector.

The event, featuring participation from 18 countries, is organized by Tahaluf and the Ministry for Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), in partnership with Informa PLC, the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones, and the Events Investment Fund.

LEAP 2025 brings together global leaders from the public and private sectors, top innovators, and key stakeholders in tech investment, serving as a leading investment platform that provides investors and entrepreneurs worldwide with the opportunity to explore promising new horizons.

Participating entrepreneurs and startups will showcase their innovations to over 170,000 visitors at LEAP’s inaugural Tech Arena.

The Tech Arena is an innovative ‘live TV’ platform that will offer an immersive journey into robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), healthcare technologies, and mixed reality.

Attendees will have access to live showcases and hands-on interactive experiences that bring future tech to life, enabling emerging talent to join major enterprises such as Aramco, Adobe, Ericsson, XAR Labs, Devoteam, and Engine VR to explore the latest trends in technology.

LEAP 2025 plays a critical role in Saudi Arabia’s ambition to become a global technology hub, aligning with its Vision 2030 plan to diversify the economy. As part of this initiative, the Kingdom has pledged $100 billion toward advancing its technology sector.

Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Energy signed a Power Supply and Implementation Agreement with Expo 2030 Riyadh Company, wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), to deliver the power infrastructure required across the Expo 2030 Riyadh site.The agreement was signed by Khalid AlGhamdi, Chief Executive Officer of Saudi Energy, and Talal Al-Marri, Chief Executive Officer of Expo 2030 Riyadh, according to the official statement,The deal aims to establish the electrical infrastructure required to meet the power demands of Expo 2030 Riyadh. This includes the construction of a bulk supply point, three primary substations, and all associated transmission and distribution infrastructure.Leading Saudi companies, including Alfanar, Haif Company, Trading and Development Partnership, and Al-Babtain Power & Telecom Company, will support the execution of these worksAlGhamdi highlighted that the agreement reflects the critical role of Saudi Energy in supporting major national projects by developing a reliable and highly efficient power infrastructure.He emphasized that Saudi Energy will deploy its capabilities and expertise to execute Expo 2030 Riyadh’s electric supply requirements to the highest standards of quality and operational performance, supporting the readiness of this global event and aligning with the Kingdom’s development goals.For his part, Al-Marri said: “The agreement marks another important milestone, reflecting the accelerated progress across the various workstreams underway on site and reinforcing its readiness in line with the established delivery schedule.”He noted that the partnership with leading Saudi national companies reflects confidence in local capabilities and expertise, and their ability to deliver projects of this scale and ambition in line with the highest technical and operational standards. Moreover, the agreement marks a significant step toward securing the critical utility requirements of Expo 2030 Riyadh and enabling the timely development and successful opening of the event.
