
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zone (Modon) signed a cooperation agreement with Al-Ahsa Municipality to establish 24 ready-to-use factories in Al-Ahsa First Industrial City to cater to the needs of Saudi craftsmen.
According to Modon, the agreement was signed during the Al Ahsa Forum 2025 in the presence of the Governor of Al-Ahsa Saud Talal Badr, under the auspices of Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province. This agreement aims to foster collaboration in economic development and business sustainability.
Modon also signed an industrial contract with Ratio Specialty Company to build a beverages production facility on an area of 11,600 square meters in Modon Oasis in Al-Ahsa, with investments amounting to SAR 200 million. This agreement aims to promote the local economy, support local content, boost exports, and enhance food security, aligning with Vision 2030.
Additionally, Modon inked another industrial contract to establish a food production facility in Modon Oasis in Al-Ahsa with investments valued at SAR 150 million. The new facility, which will be built on a space of 14,000 square meters, is expected to enhance food security, meet the local market needs, and create diverse jobs.
SMSA, a market leader in the courier industry, signed an agreement with Modon to build a logistics distribution hub in Al-Ahsa First Industrial City with investments estimated at SAR 10 million. The new hub will be built on an area of 6,500 square meters and is expected to promote distribution services, provide logistics solutions that add value, and enhance supply chains.
Al Ahsa Forum 2025 took place on 19 and 20 February, gathering several ministers, senior officials, experts, CEOs of local and global companies, and entrepreneurs. It served as a hub for presenting innovative ideas, offering a valuable opportunity for partnerships, exploring Al-Ahsa’s vision for economic growth, and connecting with prominent figures driving development in Saudi Arabia.
