Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Venture Capital (SVC) announced its investment in the Artal Growth Opportunities Fund, a private equity fund managed by Artal Capital and regulated by Saudi Arabia’s Capital Market Authority.
The fund focuses on supporting high-growth companies across the GCC, with a special focus on Saudi Arabia, according to the official press release. It targets technology-driven businesses at the expansion and growth stages, helping them scale through capital injection, market expansion, and stronger corporate governance.
Nabeel Koshak, CEO of SVC, said the investment aligns with SVC’s strategy to attract fund managers to invest in Saudi companies and boost funding for businesses in their growth phase.
Rayan Alrasheed, CEO of Artal Capital, welcomed SVC’s investment as a vote of confidence in Artal’s strategy, emphasizing its role in accelerating portfolio companies’ growth while supporting Saudi Arabia’s investment ecosystem.
Established in 2018 as a subsidiary of SME Bank under the National Development Fund, SVC works to enhance financing for startups and SMEs, investing in funds and directly into companies from pre-seed to pre-IPO.
