Expo highlights automation, sustainability, and supply chain solutions in Saudi Arabia’s growing F&B market

Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: The second edition of the Saudi Food Manufacturing Exhibition opens today, Sunday, 13 April, at the Riyadh Front Exhibition and Conference Center, running through April 15.

The Expo is held under the patronage of Bandar bin Ibrahim Alkhorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, and in strategic partnership with the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON), according to a press release.

The event reflects the Kingdom’s growing ambition to become a regional powerhouse in the food and beverage manufacturing sector.

As the only dedicated food and beverage processing event in Saudi Arabia, Saudi Food Manufacturing showcases the entire production chain, from processing and packaging to ingredients, supply chain solutions, automation, and control technologies. It aims to guide the industrial sector toward a more resilient, agile, and sustainable future.

This year’s edition features more than 550 international brands, including leading companies such as Alagro, Al-Watania, Anasia, Azelis, Brenntag, Bühler, FSL, Kaidy, Mepco, Multivac, Napco, Novonesis, Provisor, Reda, SABIN, and Uflex, among others. National pavilions from France, the Netherlands, the UK, Turkey, India, Switzerland, Spain, Pakistan, Egypt, Jordan, China, and Italy are also taking part.

The event comes at a time when Saudi Arabia’s food sector is valued at $55 billion, with local food manufacturing companies growing by over 31% in recent years. The Kingdom’s booming F&B industry continues to play a vital role in the national economy, with the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture announcing plans last year to localize 85% of food production by 2030.

As Saudi Arabia pushes forward with Vision 2030, Saudi Food Manufacturing serves as a key platform to attract investment, foster innovation, and drive the future of food production in the region.
