Saudi Digital Government Authority launched the Innovation Hub to enable the application of AI and emerging technologies in government agencies

Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s Digital Government Authority (DGA) announced the launch of the Innovation Hub, a new strategic initiative that aims to empower government agencies and enable the application of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies in these agencies.

The hub aims to empower government agencies to foresee the future and create an environment that fosters the adoption of innovative models, the authority announced in a recent press release.

The hub offers specialized platforms and advanced laboratories that contribute to developing intelligent digital solutions, enabling effective integration across various agencies.

It also provides a flexible interactive environment that includes workshops, hackathons, and collaborative design sessions aimed at redefining traditional work methods, enhancing user experience, and increasing the efficiency of government services.

Ahmed Alsuwaiyan, Governor of DGA, clarified that the Innovation Hub supports collaboration among government agencies and encourages the development of innovative solutions that meet the needs of beneficiaries.

He noted that the Hub features advanced infrastructure and modern technologies that enable the exploration and application of exceptional solutions in various fields.

In 2025, the hub targets serving over 100 government agencies, organizing more than 50 knowledge workshops in the field of open innovation, empowering over 2,000 government beneficiaries, and launching 10 innovative digital products along with five quality initiatives.

The launch of the Innovation Hub represents a pivotal step towards enhancing the status of the digital government and increasing the readiness of the government sector to meet the demands of digital transformation.
