"أوبر" تعتزم إطلاق سيارات ذاتية القيادة في السعودية العام الجاري

الرياض - شركات مباشر: وقعت الهيئة العامة للنقل السعودية مذكرة تفاهم مع شركة "أوبر تكنولوجي"، لإطلاق المركبات ذاتية القيادة في المملكة خلال العام الجاري، في خطوة تعكس الجهود لمواكبة التطورات التقنية وتبني الابتكارات الحديثة في قطاع النقل وتمكين التنقل الذكي بما يحقق مستهدفات الاستراتيجية الوطنية للنقل والخدمات اللوجستية ورؤية المملكة 2030.

وقّع مذكرة التفاهم الدكتور رميح بن محمد الرميح، رئيس الهيئة العامة للنقل، وخسروشاهي، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة "دارا"، عقب اجتماع عُقد في الرياض على هامش منتدى الاستثمار السعودي الأمريكي، بحضور ممثلين عن الجهات الحكومية المعنية، بحسب "واس".

من المتوقع أن تطلق الهيئة العامة للنقل أولى رحلات المركبات ذاتية القيادة عبر تطبيق "أوبر"، بالشراكة مع مزودي الخدمات قبل نهاية هذا العام، وسيشمل تطبيق هذه الخطوة في بدايتها مساندة ووجود مشغلين داخل المركبات للمساعدة في ضمان السلامة.

كشف دارا خسروشاهي، رئيس شركة "أوبر" العالمية، أن الشركة تعتزم إطلاق سيارات ذاتية القيادة في السعودية خلال العام الحالي، في خطوة تمثل تحولاً نوعياً في مستقبل قطاع النقل بالمملكة.

ستعمل الهيئة العامة للنقل و"أوبر" مع شركاء تكنولوجيا المركبات ذاتية القيادة لتوسيع نطاق وصول المستهلكين إلى تكنولوجيا المركبات ذاتية القيادة.

بهذه المناسبة، قال رميح بن محمد الرميح، رئيس الهيئة العامة للنقل:"تدعم هذه الشراكة جهودنا لتمكين تقنيات النقل الذكي وتحقيق الأهداف الوطنية في إطار رؤية 2030، ومن خلال هذا التعاون نهدف إلى تهيئة بيئة تنظيمية تشجع الابتكار مع ضمان السلامة وجودة الخدمة في جميع أنحاء القطاع".

من جانبه، أضاف دارا خسروشاهي، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة "أوبر العالمية"، أن تقنيات القيادة الذاتية تُعد عنصراً محورياً في تعزيز سلامة النقل البري، فضلاً عن دورها المهم في خفض التكاليف التشغيلية، ما ينعكس إيجاباً على تجربة المستخدمين ومستوى كفاءة الخدمات.

وأوضح رئيس "أوبر" أن نجاح أعمال الشركة في السوق السعودية يرتبط بشكل وثيق بتطور البنية التحتية لقطاع النقل العام، مؤكداً التزام "أوبر" بدعم رؤية السعودية في تطوير منظومة نقل حديثة ومستدامة.

PIF’s Humain pacts with NVIDIA to support AI development in Kingdom

Uber to launch self-driving cars in Saudi Arabia this year

Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia is set to launch autonomous vehicle services through Uber before the end of 2025, following a strategic partnership agreement between the Transport General Authority (TGA) and Uber Technologies. The deal was signed under the patronage of Saleh Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistic Services and TGA Chairman, during the Saudi-US Investment Forum in Riyadh.The agreement was formalized by Rumaih Al-Rumaih, TGA acting president and Dara Khosrowshahi, Uber CEO . The initiative aligns with the Kingdom’s National Transport and Logistics Strategy and Vision 2030, aiming to introduce cutting-edge mobility solutions across the country.As part of the first phase, autonomous vehicles will operate with onboard drivers to ensure safety. The TGA and Uber will work alongside technology partners to expand access to these services through Uber’s platform, paving the way for a smarter, more connected transport system. Al-Rumaih highlighted the partnership as a key step in fostering innovation and building a regulatory framework that prioritizes safety and quality.
