Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Shanghai-based Synyi AI opened the world’s first artificial intelligence-powered doctor clinic in Saudi Arabia, marking a global milestone in healthcare innovation.
Located in Al-Ahsa, the pilot clinic features an AI physician named Dr. Hua, capable of diagnosing and prescribing treatments with minimal human intervention, as reported by Bloomberg.
Patients begin by entering their symptoms into a tablet, after which Dr. Hua conducts a dynamic consultation, analyzes medical images, and generates a treatment plan. A human doctor reviews each diagnosis before approval. Synyi AI reports an error rate of less than 0.3% during testing.
The clinic currently focuses on respiratory conditions and offers services free of charge during its trial phase. Synyi plans to expand Dr. Hua’s capabilities to cover over 50 diseases, including gastrointestinal and skin-related ailments.
This pilot aligns with Saudi Arabia’s push to advance digital health through initiatives like the Regulatory Healthcare Sandbox. Synyi AI is working with local hospitals and regulatory bodies to secure approval for broader deployment across the Kingdom.
This launch marks Synyi’s first international expansion, building on its experience with over 800 healthcare institutions in China.
