Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture (MEWA) launched the second edition of the Sunbolah AgriFood Tech Accelerator program to empower agrifood tech startups in Riyadh and Paris.

In a statement, the ministry revealed that the second edition focuses on local and international seed to pre-Series A startups seeking to scale, expand, or enter the Saudi market.

This 17-week program features advanced workshops by local and global experts, dynamic workspaces at The Garage, and weekly one-to-one consultancy sessions. It aims to facilitate access to specialized research centers and investment opportunities and streamline the licensing process.

In 2024, MEWA launched the Sunbolah program to foster entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector and advance the agrifood tech sector in Saudi Arabia. It offers both incubation and acceleration programs designed to support startups across various stages of development.

The incubation program nurtures early-stage entrepreneurs from the idea phase to pre-seed readiness, while the acceleration program empowers growth-stage and international startups seeking growth and expansion.

Through expert mentorship, funding opportunities, licensing support, and access to a dynamic innovation ecosystem, Sunbolah plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of food and agricultural technologies, in alignment with Vision 2030.
