ACI Worldwide expands in Riyadh via iNet alliance

Under this agreement, iNet will deploy and run an omnichannel point‑of‑sale infrastructure built on ACI’s Postilion platform

Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: ACI Worldwide has enlisted iNet—the first Network Service Provider licensed by the Saudi Central Bank—to its Retail Payment Solutions for Postilion program, deepening a relationship that dates back to 2006.

Under the new agreement, iNet will deploy and run an omnichannel point‑of‑sale infrastructure built on ACI’s Postilion platform, giving banks, fintechs, and merchants faster transaction processing that remains compliant with Saudi Arabia’s evolving regulations, according to a recent press release.

The move follows iNet’s receipt of full operating licences earlier this year, allowing it to provide POS services directly to financial institutions and retailers. The company already handles more than five million transactions a day and intends to scale sharply in support of Vision 2030, the Kingdom’s strategy to foster a cashless, digitally driven economy.

Postilion will let iNet roll out services such as SoftPOS, QR, and link‑based payments, as well as digital wallets. The system will run across two PCI‑compliant data centres in Saudi Arabia, an “active‑active” architecture designed to minimise outages—a feature the partners say could prove critical during marquee events like the 2034 FIFA World Cup.

Executives from both firms said the collaboration aims to simplify payments, open new revenue streams and position Saudi Arabia as a regional leader in next‑generation financial infrastructure.
