Muscat - Sharikat Mubasher: Oman-based predictive analytics startup ZabonEx secured $100,000 in a pre-seed funding round led by Future Fund Oman and ITHCA Group.
ZabonEx announced in a statement yesterday that it will use the investment to enhance its predictive engine, expand its technology team, and forge strategic partnerships with local food producers and retailers.
The company aims to revolutionize how food and beverage (F&B) companies manage product distribution by enabling real-time insights into where and when products will be consumed.
The B2B SaaS platform allows businesses to make smarter inventory decisions, reduce overproduction, and cut down on food waste, while aligning profitability with sustainability.
Co-founder Hatim Moosa stated that the round will allow ZabonEx to accelerate business development and product enhancement within the Omani F&B ecosystem. “We are committed to building a strong local foundation before expanding to regional markets,” he added.
For his part, Co-founder Almuhannad Al Balushi, commented: “F&B businesses are under pressure to stay profitable while meeting sustainability expectations. ZabonEx was born from this challenge. We empower them to make better decisions by forecasting demand at a granular level, improving not just margins but also their environmental footprint.”
ZabonEx's platform was designed to equip F&B producers, distributors, and retailers with customer-level demand forecasting. It aims to become the go-to intelligence layer for data-informed distribution across the region.
