
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi venture capital company Impact46 announced the successful acquisition of Kammelna, a Saudi-based gaming studio best known for its Baloot and Jackaroo games, for over SAR 200 million.
The announcement was made during the New Global Sports Conference (NGSC25), in the presence of the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdullah Alswaha, Impact46 revealed in a recent statement.
The deal, which is considered the largest gaming transaction in the region, marks a significant milestone in the Saudi gaming sector and solidifies the Kingdom’s position as a global hub for digital entertainment and esports.
Commenting on the deal, Abdulaziz Alomran, Founder and CEO of Impact46, said: “Kammelna delivers on every front: loyal users, high retention, smart monetization, and cultural equity. This deal is a turning point not just for Saudi gaming, but for what it means to invest in culturally grounded, scalable IP.”
Kammelna is the largest independent game employer in Saudi Arabia, with over 40 employees, and has more than 1 million monthly active users.
For his part, Bader Al Zamil, CEO of Kammelna, stated: “Our cultural games deserve world-class digital experiences. Partnering with Impact46 marks an exciting new chapter for us to expand our reach and create even more games that carry the spirit of our culture to players everywhere.”
Moreover, the deal underscores Saudi Arabia's dedication to bolstering the gaming and entertainment sectors, in alignment with Vision 2030.
