
Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Bandar Alkhorayef, Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, concluded a series of meetings in China with top executives from Tsinghua Unigroup, BOE Technology Group, and Kyland Technology to advance industrial cooperation and localize high-tech manufacturing in the Kingdom.
According to a press release by the ministry, talks focused on developing digital industrial infrastructure, intelligent control systems, and semiconductor production, while highlighting Saudi Arabia’s strategic advantages, such as its tri-continental location, abundant natural resources, competitive energy prices, and modern industrial hubs.
During the visit, three memoranda of understanding were signed between the National Industrial Development Center and the Chinese firms: BOE for advanced display technologies, Kyland for intelligent industrial control, and Tsinghua Unigroup for semiconductors, aimed at accelerating the transfer and localization of these technologies.
Saleh Al-Solami, National Industrial Development Center CEO, and senior Saudi and Chinese industry leaders attended the meetings, which reinforce Saudi Arabia’s drive to attract quality industrial investments and expand its advanced manufacturing base.
