
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) signed several agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) during the Saudi Rail International 2025 to elevate the transportation and logistics sectors.
The deals included a cooperation agreement with the Saudi Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at) to foster and empower SMEs to participate in supply chains in the industrial sector.
Through this partnership, both parties will work together to launch joint programs that enhance capabilities and boost competitiveness and efficiency, ultimately promoting local content and enhancing industrial localization.
SAR signed an MoU with the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (Modon) to localize railway-related industries and promote transportation and logistics sectors in industrial zones. This agreement aims to strengthen collaboration to empower local content in the railway industries, exchange knowledge, and support supply chains and industrial integration.
SAR also signed an MoU with Ericsson to explore potential opportunities to develop infrastructure across Saudi Arabia. This collaboration aims to scale railway communication technologies, improve the quality of advanced services, and enhance passengers’ experience.
SAR concluded several other agreements and MoUs with the Asharqia Chamber, the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, the Al Madinah Region Development Authority, National Care Company (NCC), JAL, Deloitte, and more.
The Saudi International Rail 2025 is the region’s largest rail event designed to connect railway operators, showcase the latest findings of the railway and transportation industry, and drive cooperation between international transportation providers and local companies.
