Funding to enhance reporting tools and expand services in Saudi Arabia and Africa

Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Rology, the AI-assisted teleradiology platform operating across the Middle East and Africa, announced the closing of a new growth funding round backed by major global healthcare and impact investors.

As per a recent press release, the round includes participation from the Philips Foundation, Johnson & Johnson Impact Ventures, Sanofi Global Health Unit’s Impact Fund, and MIT Solve Innovation Future, reflecting growing confidence in the company’s mission to expand access to radiology services through AI.

Rology said the new capital will accelerate its expansion in Saudi Arabia, Kenya, and additional African markets, supporting its efforts to scale AI-powered diagnostics across the MEA region.

The company added that the new funding will support the expansion of its AI-driven reporting tools and its teleradiology network, which enables hospitals to deliver diagnostic reports in as little as 30 minutes across 12 sub-specialties. Rology currently serves more than 300 hospitals in 13 countries and has delivered over 1.3 million radiology reports through its network of more than 200 radiologists.

Investors noted that Rology’s model is helping bridge diagnostic gaps in underserved and remote regions by providing cost-effective, high-accuracy reporting. The company’s technology—powered by agentic AI, LLMs, and foundation models—aims to ease global radiologist shortages and improve workflow efficiency.
