Black Hat MEA 2025 gathers global experts and innovators to explore technologies and strategies shaping the future of cyber defense

Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi capital hosts a new edition of the Black Hat Middle East 2025 from 2 to 4 December, gathering cybersecurity experts, innovators, solution providers, and decision-makers from around the world to explore the technologies, strategies, and skills driving the future of cyber defense.

Black Hat MEA 2025 serves as a capacity-building platform that brings world-class information security professionals to the region, delivering training, sharing expertise, and strengthening defenses.  

The event is expected to welcome nearly 40,000 attendees, over 500 Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), more than 450 exhibitors, and over 300 speakers. Participants will gain technical insights from over 330 leading experts, get hands-on at live hacking stations in the activity zone, and connect with over 40,000 cybersecurity professionals.

Black Hat MEA 2025 is organized by the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones (SAFSCP), and Tahaluf, a joint venture between the federation, the Events Investment Fund (EIF), and Informa International. It will address several key areas, notably autonomous security operations, threat intelligence analysis, digital trust, post-quantum readiness, operational technology and Internet of Things risks, cybersecurity insurance issues, and escalating digital conflicts.

Hosting Black Hat MEA 2025 reinforces Saudi Arabia’s efforts to develop an advanced cybersecurity sector and enhance the competitiveness of national talent, in alignment with Vision 2030 goals.

EDGE Finance receives SAMA license to operate in Saudi financing market
Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi-based financing firm EDGE Finance Company announced it has obtained an official license from the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) to provide consumer financing and financing for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Kingdom.The announcement was shared by the company on LinkedIn, describing the license as a new step toward expanding its role in Saudi Arabia’s financial services sector. The company said the approval reflects its commitment to supporting financial inclusion and strengthening the flexibility of financial transactions in the Kingdom.With the license, EDGE Finance will be able to offer a range of financing solutions aimed at individuals and SMEs, sectors that play a key role in Saudi Arabia’s economic diversification and entrepreneurship ecosystem. The firm indicated that it aims to deliver innovative financial products designed to meet the evolving needs of customers while aligning with the goals of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.EDGE Finance also noted that it seeks to become an active contributor to the Kingdom’s national financing ecosystem by supporting businesses and entrepreneurs with tailored financial solutions. The company said it plans to focus on providing flexible and accessible financing services that help clients grow while enhancing overall financial accessibility in the Saudi market.
