Cairo – Sharikat Mubasher: KNOT Technologies announced it has raised $1 million in a pre-seed round led by A15 to scale its AI-native ticketing and access control infrastructure, aiming to modernize how identity, distribution, and value flow across live events.
With the new funding, KNOT plans to advance product development, expand internationally, and deepen integrations across the live events ecosystem, according to a recent press release.
The startup is targeting long-standing inefficiencies in legacy ticketing systems that limit organizers’ visibility, expose fans to fraud, and allow revenue to leak into unregulated secondary markets. Founded by a team with experience at Meta, Goldman Sachs, and Mubadala, KNOT conducted research with venues and operators across Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa, identifying a consistent lack of transparency and control across markets.
KNOT’s platform uses an AI layer to authenticate identity, manage ticket distribution, and track demand in real time, enabling organizers to curb unauthorized transfers and reduce market leakage. Following an early rollout, the company has secured more than 50 enterprise customers and is now emerging from stealth.
