Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Qiddiya Investment Company announced it has expanded its partnership with Google Cloud to build the digital infrastructure powering Qiddiya City, one of the Kingdom’s largest entertainment and tourism developments.
Working through systems integrator Master Works, Qiddiya will use Google Cloud’s AI and data technologies to support the operations of the 360-square-kilometre entertainment city, which is planned to include sports venues, gaming districts, arts attractions, and theme parks, as per a recent press release.
The collaboration will focus on deploying a unified data platform powered by BigQuery, alongside AI-driven systems designed to analyze visitor behavior, construction progress, and operational performance in real time. Qiddiya said the technologies will help transform the destination into a fully integrated smart entertainment city capable of delivering faster insights and more personalized visitor experiences.
The partnership also includes the expansion of Qiddiya’s proprietary AI platform, Q-Brain, using Google’s Gemini models to support real-time decision-making and automated operational tasks across the destination.
Abdulrahman Alali, chief technology officer at Qiddiya Investment Company, said the collaboration aims to create a seamless digital experience across Qiddiya’s growing entertainment portfolio, while Abdul Rahman Al Thehaiban, managing director at Google Cloud for the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey, said the partnership would help digitally optimize the mega-project in line with Saudi Vision 2030 goals.
