Manama – Sharikat Mubasher: stc pay Bahrain announced it has partnered with Bahrain-based fintech and payment solutions provider Payment International Enterprise (PIE) to enable QR code payments across PIE's point-of-sale (POS) network, expanding digital payment options for consumers and merchants across the Kingdom.
As per a recent press release, this integration allows stc pay users to complete purchases by scanning QR codes generated on PIE POS terminals via the stc pay mobile app. Transactions are processed instantly without the need for cash or physical payment cards, offering a faster and more convenient checkout experience.
The collaboration connects stc pay's growing customer base with PIE's expanding merchant network, serving businesses across retail, hospitality, and other service sectors. Merchants will also gain access to a wider pool of digital payment users while streamlining payment processing and reducing cash handling.
stc pay said the partnership supports its strategy to broaden access to secure cashless payment solutions and contribute to Bahrain's digital transformation agenda.
Both companies said the initiative will strengthen the Kingdom's digital payments infrastructure and accelerate the adoption of QR-based payments, reinforcing Bahrain's position as a regional fintech hub and supporting its transition toward a more digital and cashless economy.
