Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: The fourth UNESCO Global Forum on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence (GFEAI 2026) will take place in Riyadh from 14 to 17 September, bringing together policymakers, technology experts and global stakeholders to advance responsible AI governance.

The forum is co-hosted by UNESCO and Saudi Arabia, represented by the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) and the International Centre for AI Research and Ethics.

The event will focus on implementing UNESCO’s Recommendation on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence, while facilitating the exchange of experiences on AI policies, regulatory frameworks and institutional capabilities.

Launched in 2022, the Global Forum has previously been hosted by the Czech Republic, Slovenia and Thailand. It has evolved into a platform for promoting practical approaches to AI ethics and governance while addressing human rights and sustainable development.

GFEAI 2026 will be held alongside the Global AI Summit 2026 as part of Saudi Arabia’s Global AI Week. The events will combine discussions on AI governance and ethics with technological innovation, coinciding with the Kingdom’s designation of 2026 as the Year of Artificial Intelligence.
