Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Geidea, a Saudi-based fintech and payments company, announced it has secured new payment certifications in Saudi Arabia while expanding its collaboration with UnionPay International in the UAE.

In Saudi Arabia, Geidea received National Payment Gateway (NPG) certification under the eMSP scope, covering Mada, Visa, and Mastercard. The company also obtained MPoC certification for its Geidea SoftPOS solution, which enables merchants to accept contactless payments through compatible mobile devices.

Geidea is also working toward enabling Tap to Pay on iPhone in Saudi Arabia, providing merchants with an additional option for accepting contactless payments.

In the UAE, Geidea has expanded its collaboration with UnionPay International, becoming one of the first acquirers in the country to launch UnionPay 3D Secure authentication capabilities.

The solution will enhance authentication for UnionPay online payments across Geidea’s merchant network, including card-on-file and recurring transactions, supporting more secure digital checkouts.
