Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Taking another steady move to facilitate the adoption of advanced artificial intelligence (AI) in the Kingdom, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the global management consulting firm Oliver Wyman to explore best practices of generative AI (GenAI).
The MoU was signed by Abdullah Alkhodairi, Chief Strategy Officer at SDAIA, and Abdulelah AlBarrak, Partner at Oliver Wyman, during the Global AI Summit.
The agreement targets fostering and implementing GenAI recommendations and use cases, and discovering best practices and expertise across various fields.
Under this partnership, SDAIA will utilize Oliver Wyman’s AIQ framework to measure the readiness of government entities and enterprises. Additionally, the authority will update the framework to be launched in the Kingdom soon.
The third edition of the Global AI Summit takes place in Riyadh from 10 to 12 September, gathering global figures, economic policymakers, and artificial intelligence (AI) specialists from 100 countries.
It aims to tackle challenges in AI development and address several issues such as human capacities, technical infrastructure, ethics, bias and fairness, national security, information security, and the economic and social impacts of AI.
