Riyadh - Exclusive Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi-based healthcare startup AmplifAI Health achieved third place at the Idea Satage of the Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC) 2024, Chief Executive Officer Meshari Alwashmi stated in an interview with Sharikat Mubasher on the sidelines of Biban 2024.
Alwashmi noted that the company has been qualified for the EWC 2024 after winning the Ebtker Award from the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at).
AmplifAI Health integrates AI with thermal and hyperspectral imaging to detect early signs of health conditions, starting with diabetic foot ulcers. This non-invasive platform offers real-time, actionable insights to healthcare professionals, improving patient outcomes and reducing healthcare costs.
The Idea Stage at EWC 2024 nurtures nascent concepts with guidance, mentorship, and initial funding to transform innovative ideas into viable business plans.
It is worth noting that Biban 2024 hosted the final qualifiers of the EWC 2024, with the participation of over 16,000 competitors from more than 150 countries. The top 100 finalists vied for cash prizes amounting to $1 million, in the presence of 120 investors.
The Saudi automotive tech startup MisMar won first place in the EWC 2024, receiving a prize worth $200,000.
Biban 2024, the flagship event for startups in Saudi Arabia, took place in Riyadh from 5 to 9 November and focused on empowering the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Saudi Arabia through nine doors: Enablement Door, Fast-growing Enterprises Door, Funding and Investment Door, Startup Door, Innovation Door, E-commerce Door, Franchise Door, Market Door, and Start Door.
