Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: In line with the launch of the Saudi Green Initiative Forum in Riyadh, Saudi Logistics Services (SAL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Tarshid Energy Solutions Company, a subsidiary company of the National Energy Services Company (Tarshid).
The agreement was signed by Abdulazeez Al-sharif, Chief Shared Services Officer at SAL Saudi Logistics Services and Fawaz Al Orifej, General Manager of Tarshid Energy Solutions.
Under this agreement, Tarshid will conduct a detailed study of SAL facilities, aiming to optimize the efficiency of energy consumption, enhance sustainability, and reduce carbon footprint, in compliance with the objectives of Vision 2030.
Tarshid is a national company wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF). It was established in 2017 to be a crucial part of fostering the energy services sector through promoting integration between energy efficiency, operational efficiency and renewable energy, and maintaining “sustainability,” one of the main pillars of the Saudi Vision 2030.
SAL provides ground handling services for air cargo and logistics solutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It handles 95% of the Kingdom’s airports' air cargo, in addition to sea and land cargo services, making it a leader in the Kingdom’s logistics sector and a major driver of development in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
