Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Morocco’s largest private healthcare provider, Akdital, is expanding into the Gulf.

During a press conference last Friday, the company unveiled plans to open four medical facilities in Saudi Arabia and the UAE by 2027, with a total investment of 1 billion dirhams.

The first facility will launch in Dubai, where Akdital is targeting the underserved southern district near Al Maktoum International Airport. The city’s low hospital bed density—fewer than one per 1,000 residents—offers a strategic opening for the group.

Riyadh is next, with two additional sites planned in response to the Saudi capital’s growing population and ongoing healthcare infrastructure gaps. The move aligns with Saudi Arabia’s national efforts to boost private sector participation in healthcare.

Akdital will apply its Morocco-tested model abroad, retaining operational control while partnering with developers for real estate management. By 2030, it aims to generate 20% of its revenue from international markets.
