Manama - Sharikat Mubasher: Bahraini social commercial startup Sellou successfully secured $3 million in a seed funding round to develop its platform.
In a statement, the company revealed that it will use the investment to expand its reach across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and position itself as a leading video-first commerce marketplace.
Founded by Salman Al Khalifa in 2020, Sellou helps sellers present their products using short-form video content through an easy-to-create mini-store that can be seamlessly linked with WhatsApp and Instagram. It integrates a live chat feature, allowing direct communication between sellers and interested buyers.
Sellou targets redefining the e-commerce landscape in the region by merging video content, social interaction, and conversational tools to create a seamless and engaging shopping experience.
