Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The World Expo 2025 was officially launched yesterday with a futuristic ceremony blending cutting-edge technology and vibrant cultural traditions. The expo, running until 13 October, offers a vision of the future with participants from more than 160 countries, including Saudi Arabia, showcasing their futuristic exhibits.

The Saudi pavilion, the second largest after the host country, captures the essence of the nation’s rich heritage through a journey inspired by its cities and villages. Its design blends deep-rooted history with remarkable progress, reflecting the Kingdom’s ambition for a sustainable and ever-evolving future.

The pavilion was opened by the Minister of Culture, Bader Farhan, in the presence of the Vice Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Executive Committee for the Kingdom's Participation in International Expos, Hamed Fayez, and other senior officials and diplomats, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Visitors will have a vibrant and holistic portrayal of Saudi Arabia’s culture, where designs centered on scale, light, sound, and texture highlight the Kingdom’s groundbreaking accomplishments.

In his opening remarks, Farhan said: "We are delighted to inaugurate the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, which operates under the slogan 'Discover Saudi Arabia.' Through the pavilion's ambitious design, we highlight the many shared qualities and harmony between the Kingdom and Japan."

Inspired by traditional Saudi urban structures, the pavilion highlights the Kingdom's commitment to enhancing the quality of life through innovation and technological modernization. It also offers a spatial experience reflecting the exploration of Saudi cities and villages, embodying the Kingdom's rich cultural heritage.
