Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Johnson Controls Arabia, a leading provider of smart controls and energy-efficient solutions, launched the first-ever 600-ton air-cooled chiller production line at the YORK Manufacturing Complex in King Abdullah Economic City in Jeddah.

This milestone is accompanied by the launch of Saudi Arabia's first AHRI-certified performance testing lab dedicated to up to 600-ton air-cooled chillers, the company unveiled in a press release today.

The launch of the new production line and performance testing facility solidifies the Kingdom's position as a regional hub for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) innovation and industrial excellence. It also highlights Johnson Controls Arabia’s leadership in localizing HVAC technologies and its long-standing track record of high-performance manufacturing.

The 600-ton air-cooled chiller is designed and manufactured in the Kingdom with full compliance with the “Saudi Made” certification program, meeting the strictest standards in electrical safety, environmental sustainability, and trade requirements.

Mohanad AlShaikh, CEO of Johnson Controls Arabia, said: “The launch of the 600-ton air-cooled chiller production line, the largest of its kind in the region, and the first AHRI-certified testing lab for this capacity of equipment in the Kingdom, underscores our dedication to supporting Saudi industrial leadership in line with Vision 2030.”

He noted that this milestone represents a significant move in the company’s journey towards setting new benchmarks in local manufacturing excellence and innovation.

Additionally, the state-of-the-art AHRI-certified performance testing lab aims to enhance Johnson Controls Arabia’s research, development, and quality assurance capabilities. It enables localized Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), certification renewals, and prototype testing, significantly reducing lead times and boosting customer confidence.
