Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: stc Group strengthened its operational readiness for the 1446 AH Hajj season by deploying artificial intelligence (AI) across its network systems.
The initiative aimed to maintain service quality and continuity amid the seasonal surge in network usage due to the influx of millions of pilgrims, as per stc’s press release.
AI technologies were used to monitor performance and analyze data in real time, allowing stc to detect and address service disruptions, many before they were noticed by users. Among the innovations was a self-healing network system that autonomously identifies and corrects faults, reducing issue impact by up to 60%.
Drawing on insights from previous Hajj seasons, AI systems enabled stc to implement proactive measures and execute over 10,000 automatic adjustments per hour during peak periods.
These adjustments resulted in a 10% increase in peak data flow and improved average data speeds by 20% to 30%, ensuring smoother digital access for pilgrims during one of the busiest events of the year.
