Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia, represented by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), showcased its national AI strategy and ecosystem at the third Global Forum on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence, organized by UNESCO in Bangkok from 24 to 27 June 2025.
Speaking during a high-level session, Abdullah bin Sulaiman Al-Khudairi, CEO of the Strategy Management Office at SDAIA, highlighted the Kingdom’s efforts to align AI investments with the goals of Vision 2030 and national development priorities. He emphasized that Saudi Arabia is building a forward-looking, inclusive AI ecosystem grounded in ethical principles and international collaboration.
Al-Khudairi noted that Saudi Arabia has prioritized responsible AI adoption by fostering strong partnerships across government entities, academia, and the private sector. He added that SDAIA’s national framework for AI ethics ensures transparency, safety, and accessibility in emerging technologies.
He further underscored the role of the Kingdom’s advanced digital infrastructure in accelerating the use of AI to support Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in public policy and service delivery. Capacity building across institutions and technical sectors, he said, has been crucial in transitioning AI initiatives from pilot programs to real-world impact.
