Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Epic Semi unveiled its first Saudi-developed semiconductor portfolio at the Epic Semi Launch and Celebratory Event held in Riyadh, attended by government leaders, investors, and global tech partners. As Saudi Arabia’s first fabless semiconductor company, Epic Semi aims to position the Kingdom as a hub for AI, cloud computing, and edge technologies.

The EPIC portfolio covers four key areas: EPIC Echelon for edge AI, EPIC Pegasus for robotics and computer vision, EPIC Ionos for IoT connectivity, and EPIC Contrail for cloud AI infrastructure. Under EPIC Contrail, the company launched new flagship products, including Contrail Flash PCIe Gen5 SSDs for AI workloads, Contrail Compute — a CPU and AI superchip designed for large language models — and Contrail Cool, a liquid cooling system for data centers.

Naveed Sherwani, CEO, said the launch marks a major step toward building a sovereign and competitive semiconductor ecosystem in Saudi Arabia, enabling AI from the cloud to the edge.

Aligned with Vision 2030, Epic Semi plans to work with the National Semiconductor Hub to support local manufacturing, strengthen technological independence, and create thousands of high-skilled jobs. The company says its efforts, supported by megaprojects like NEOM, will help position Saudi Arabia as a regional leader in advanced chip design and innovation.
