Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Investment announced over $140 million (approximately SAR 525 million) in new cybersecurity investments at the Black Hat Middle East and Africa 2025 conference, highlighting the Kingdom’s accelerating momentum in the digital and technology sectors.

According to the Ministry’s post on X.com, the funding spans multiple strategic initiatives, including the opening of regional headquarters, the creation of operational branches valued at $27 million, the signing of exclusive partnerships worth $72 million, and expansion into strategic international markets with $43 million. These initiatives aim to reinforce Saudi Arabia’s cybersecurity ecosystem and support the growth of specialized technology firms.

Held from 2 to 4 December at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham, Black Hat MEA 2025 brought together global cybersecurity vendors, innovators, and senior officials to discuss emerging threats, future technologies, and investment prospects. Ministry leaders also participated in panel discussions exploring the sector’s evolution and the increasing opportunities available to startups in Saudi Arabia and across the region.
