Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia achieved another historic milestone by ranking second globally in the GovTech Maturity Index (GTMI) 2025, issued by the World Bank Group, out of an assessment covering 197 countries worldwide, the Digital Government Authority (DGA) announced in a recent statement.

The Kingdom outperformed in all sub-indicators, earning a classification within the “Very Advanced” group with an overall score of 99.64%, according to the WB’s report. It achieved 99.92% in the Core Government Systems Index (CGSI), 99.90% in the Public Service Delivery Index (PSDI), 99.30% in the Digital Citizen Engagement Index (DCEI), and 99.50% in the GovTech Enablers Index (GTEI).

This performance reflects excellence in digital infrastructure, core government systems, digital service delivery, and citizen engagement, placing Saudi Arabia in the (A) category for very advanced countries and clearly reflecting the maturity of its digital government ecosystem.

Governor of DGA, Ahmed Alsuwaiyan, stated that the achievement reflects the integration of efforts across government agencies, alongside an effective partnership with the private sector.

He further affirmed the authority’s commitment to strengthening innovation and enhancing the quality of digital products in support of the national economy and the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

Moreover, this progress highlights Saudi Arabia’s steady advancement in digital governance since the launch of Vision 2030, accompanied by broad government integration, comprehensive development of digital systems, and the adoption of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
