Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: NEOM Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC) signed a three-year strategic Memorandum of Understanding with Fahd bin Sultan University to strengthen education, research, and talent development in Saudi Arabia’s Tabuk region.

According to a recent press release, the agreement was signed at the university’s campus by Abdullah bin Ibrahim Hussein and Wesam Alghamdi, CEO of NGHC, and it aims to support Saudi Arabia’s shift toward a knowledge-based economy by preparing students and early-career professionals for roles in the Kingdom’s fast-growing clean energy and hydrogen sectors.

Under the MoU, both parties will collaborate on training programmes, academic research, scientific events, and specialized technical development. The agreement also introduces a bridging pathway allowing diploma holders to progress to bachelor’s degrees, alongside opportunities for students to access practical training, workshops, and potential employment pathways.

NGHC and Fahd bin Sultan University will jointly oversee implementation through regular meetings and appointed coordinators, positioning the collaboration as a long-term framework to support Saudi Arabia’s renewable energy ambitions and talent development goals.

The partnership comes as NGHC advances toward testing and commissioning the world’s largest green hydrogen plant, with around 90 percent of construction now complete across all sites. As the project moves closer to full operations, the company is placing greater emphasis on building local capabilities to ensure long-term operational excellence.
