Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Seequent, the Bentley Subsurface Company, announced it has partnered with leading universities and research institutions in Saudi Arabia to support geoscience education and digital skills development across the Kingdom.

As per a recent press release, Seequent will provide selected universities with access to its 3D geological modeling software Leapfrog Works and geotechnical analysis platform GeoStudio, allowing students to gain hands-on experience with industry-standard subsurface technologies.

The partnerships include King Abdulaziz University, King Saud University, King Abdullah City for Science and Technology, King Khalid University, and King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. The company will also make its browser-based learning tool, Visible Geology, available to universities and high schools.

The move aligns with Saudi Arabia’s expanding mining and minerals sector, which is expected to play a growing role in the national economy by 2030 and drive demand for skilled geoscientists and engineers. Through integrating professional software into academic programs, Seequent aims to help bridge skills gaps and support the Kingdom’s long-term geological and infrastructure ambitions.
