Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) and Lenovo inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore ways of collaboration aimed at supporting innovation and advanced industries in the Kingdom.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of LEAP 2026 in Riyadh, bringing together SABIC’s industrial expertise with Lenovo’s capabilities in technology and digital innovation.
The partnership will establish a framework for identifying opportunities in industrial development, knowledge transfer and technological advancement, supporting Saudi Arabia’s ambitions to become a global hub for innovation and advanced industries.
Commenting on this, SABIC Executive Vice President of Petrochemicals Abdulrahman Shamsuddin said partnerships of this kind can help accelerate the Kingdom’s industrial transformation, strengthen knowledge exchange and create opportunities for sustainable economic growth.
Meanwhile, Lenovo Middle East, Africa and Turkey President Tariq Al-Anqari said the Kingdom is emerging as a dynamic market for technology, innovation and advanced industries, adding that the companies will explore opportunities to combine their global expertise to support industrial innovation.
Lenovo has also expanded its Saudi presence, opening a regional headquarters in Riyadh and advancing plans for research, development and manufacturing facilities to strengthen local capabilities and support Saudi talent.
The fifth edition of LEAP 2026 runs from 31 August to 3 September at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham, north of Riyadh.
The event is expected to attract more than 1,000 global speakers and experts, 1,800 technology companies, 600 startups and 1,900 investors and venture capital representatives, highlighting Saudi Arabia’s growing role as a hub for technology and innovation.
