
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at) launched Funding Week in collaboration with Saudi banks, a recent statement by the authority revealed.
The event will be held at Monsha’at’s Support Centers in Riyadh, Madinah, Jeddah, and Al Khobar with the participation of 43 government entities and funding institutions that will showcase their services, initiatives, and funding products.
Running until 23 May, the event highlights the key initiatives and funding programs that foster entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and enhance the growth of their projects.
Key experts in SME financing and entrepreneurship sectors take part in the week-long event, including Sultan AlHamidi, CEO of Social Development Bank (SDB), Abdulrahman Mansour, Acting CEO of Small and Medium Enterprise Bank (SME Bank), and Homam Hashem, CEO of Kafalah Program.
The experts will discuss the challenges facing SMEs in securing adequate funding, showcasing the latest funding products.
Featuring in-place and virtual meetings, Funding Week aims to increase the awareness of entrepreneurs by introducing funding products and providing consultancies and workshops necessary to achieve SMEs’ sustainability.
Moreover, several agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with different funding institutions will be concluded during the event. These agreements aim to provide funding programs for SMEs, tackling the challenges they face to grow and expand.
