
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi-Thailand Investment Forum kicks off today in Riyadh with the participation of a 70-person delegation of Thai government and private sector representatives.
The forum was launched in the presence of Saudi Minister of Investment Khalid Al Falih and Thailand's Minister of Foreign Affairs Maris Sangiampongsa, as well as several senior officials from both countries.
In his opening remarks, Al Falih emphasized the robust bilateral business and economic ties between Saudi Arabia and Thailand.
Sangiampongsa, who spearheads the Thai delegation, highlighted the expanding joint cooperation across various sectors and the surge in foreign direct investment (FDI) in both countries.
On the sidelines of the forum, Saudi Assistant Minister of Investment Ibrahim Al Mubarak met with Narit Therdsteerasukdi, Secretary General of Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), to discuss means of cooperation and developments in the work of the Saudi-Thai Coordination Council (STCC).
It is worth noting that Sangiampongsa is set to meet with Saudi senior representatives, including the Minister of Health, Minister of Investment, and Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture during his visit to the Kingdom.
