Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Egyptian agritech startup ReNile, announced ambitious expansion plans for the Saudi market in 2025 as part of the company's strategy to strengthen its regional presence in the agricultural technology sector.
Ibrahim El-Zayat, co-founder and CTO at ReNile, made this statement on the sidelines of the first day of the Egypt VC Summit 2025. He revealed that the expansion in Saudi Arabia will focus on fish farms, greenhouses, and poultry farms, with a strong emphasis on IoT applications and digital farm management solutions, as reported by Fintech Gate.
He added that ReNile is working on the development of integrated systems that enhance productivity and operational efficiency, contributing to better resource management and higher sustainability for the sector.
El-Zayat highlighted that the Saudi market represents the first step in ReNile’s regional expansion plans, to be followed by Kuwait, Oman, and the UAE by 2026.
El-Zayat announced that ReNile is preparing for a new investment round worth $1 million within the next six months to support its expansion plans and enhance its operations in target markets.
Despite the regional expansion, El-Zayat affirmed that the Egyptian market remains the core of ReNile’s activities. The company aims to increase the number of farms it serves from 300 to 3,000, with a strong focus on driving technological innovation in the agricultural sector.
He asserted ReNile’s commitment to developing advanced technological solutions that boost efficiency in the agricultural sector, both in Egypt and in the regional and global markets the company plans to target in the coming years.
